PERSONAL:
Nick - Currently resides in Corvallis, Oregon where he is an Administrative Assistant for the Oregon State Wrestling team. He trains full time in Corvallis with the Orange Crush Wrestling Club and competes as a member of the Sunkist Kids.
Andy - Currently resides in Morgantown, West Virginia where he works and trains with the West Virginia wrestling team. He also helps operate family owned businesses in Lansing and Williamston, Michigan. He competes as a member of the Sunkist Kids
Nick and Andy are the sons of Scott and Debi Simmons. They were born in Clear Lake, Texas, Nick on October 25th, 1982 and Andy about a year later on April 14th 1984. Nick and Andy have a younger brother, Bradley, who was born on October 10th, 1986. When Nick and Andy were young their family moved back to their hometown of Williamston, Michigan. That is where they would stay and go on to wrestling greatness. They began their wrestling career early at the age of 4 and Nick and Andy garnered state and national success immediately, winning numerous state and national titles throughout their entire youth careers.
WRESTLING:
High School
Nick and Andy are arguably the most sucessfull brother tandem high school wrestling has ever seen. They both finished their careers at Williamston high school as undefeated 4x Michigan state champions and they set numerous state and national records for brothers including the national records for falls in a season and career falls. Upon graduation Nick held the record for consecutive wins (211), which was surpassed by Andy a year later (219). Nick still holds the record for pins in a season with 57. A note of interest, all the men of the Simmons family have been state champions for Williamston as father Scott was a 2x champ as a prep and younger brother Bradley claimed a state crown in 2006. College
Nick and Andy did not go far for their college careers as they both attended Michigan State University in nearby East Lansing. Their winning ways continued as they graduated with two of the most sucessfull careers in the Spartan history with Nick finishing 2nd on the MSU career win list and Andy 7th. Combined they claimed 6 all-american honors and 4 Big Ten championships.
International/Freestyle
During their college careers Nick and Andy both got early starts to their freestyle careers as they remained two of the top competitors in their age group. Both Nick and Andy have competed overseas as part of US National Teams. Nick took a year off college in 2003-04 to train freestyle and take a stab at making the Athens Olympic squad. He finished 5th that year, knocking off top name guys like Mike Mena and Tim Derlan. Below is a list of some their freestyle/international accomplshments to date:
