TURKEY BOUND......Nick makes 2011 World Team!
6/18 - After committing the last 5 years of his life to training towards World and Olympic medals, Nick Simmons' work has now paid off as the Williamston, Michigan native won the 55kg World Team Trials to earn a spot on Team USA for the Freestyle World Championships to be held Sep 12-18 in Istanbul, Turkey. Nick out-lasted long time rival Sam Hazewinkel in the best of three Trial Finals after winning the mini-tournament in dominant fashion. Click more to watch the video highlights of Nick's Trials Win.
